Pet Tale
I don’t remember when she first brought you over, a little black bundle of wiggles. I know I didn’t think she needed ANOTHER dog since she had one at our house and another one or two living with her, but we got your shots and everything anyway. You certainly didn’t stay little for long, and the wiggles turned into a gallumphing wrecking crew. The night you crashed into one of our little dogs and almost cost him an eye I told her NEVER to bring you back to our house. Yeah, like that worked. You grew and learned better manners, and learned how to play with the littles without hurting anyone. Time passed, and we all grew to love you, almost as much as you loved us. The littles have been gone a while already, and only one of her other old dogs is still around – in our backyard, of course. When you started having too much trouble getting into and out of the car, you came to stay with us too. Wasn’t a long time, but I certainly got used to my personal foot warmer when I went to bed. Her newest dog is 3 now. She got him before you got too feeble so you could raise him right. You did a good job! We all miss you, but wouldn’t put you through any more days like the last few. You weren’t ready until she got back in town and could say goodbye. Run and play, and YOU can chase and GET the ball because Smokey is still here and won’t run you off of it! Until I see you again, just know we all loved and miss you.
